CITY OF LOUISVILLE

<br />Series 1975
<br />WHEREAS, the State Legislature, of the State of Colorado, in 1974
<br />passed House Bill 1041, being Ch. 80 ~ 106-7 et. seq. (197q~) Colo. Sess.
<br />Laws 336, which concern land use and provided for identification, designa-
<br />tion, and administration of areas and activities of State interest, and
<br />WHEREAS, under the provisions of said House Bill 1041, local
<br />governments were requested to identify areas of State interest, and
<br />WHEREAS, the City of Louisville, employed Oblinger-Smith Corpora-
<br />tion, a planning consultant: firm, to aid the City of Louisville in identi-
<br />fication of areas of State interest, and
<br />WHEREAS, Oblinger-Smith prepared a map entitled Flood Hazards Area
<br />Map, Louisville, Colorado, dated August 28, 1975, and
<br />WHEREAS, said map indicates that there may be some areas within
<br />the "Development Plan Map, Louisville, Colorado, dated August 28, 1975,"
<br />prepared by Oblinger-Smith Corporation in which flooding could occur, and
<br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Louisville, Colorado
<br />identified that flood hazard areas within the boundaries of said "Develop-
<br />ment Plan Map, Louisville, Colorado" are of State interest and adopted
<br />the "Flood Hazards Area Maps" as an amendment to the "Development Plan Map,
<br />Louisville, Colorado", dated August 28, 1975.
<br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Flood Area Hazards Map,
<br />Louisville, Colorado, dated August 28, 1975 as prepared by Oblinger-Smith
<br />is hereby adopted as an amendment to the "Development Plan Map, Louisville,
<br />Colorado, dated August 28, 1975" which is a part of the Master Plan of the
<br />City of Louisville, Colorado, and
<br />IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that Flood Hazard Areas, as shown on said
<br />map are a matter of State interest and should be developed only in accor-
<br />dance with the provisions of House Bill 1041, and applicable Ordinances,
<br />Resolutions, and Policies of the City of Louisville.
<br />Passed at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of
<br />Louisville, Colorado this 2nd day of September, 1975.
