Sec.2.76.120. Decorative obstructions. <br /> All decorative obstructions shall be governed by the rules and regulations of the cemetery. <br /> Fences, railings, hedges and other obstructions and decorations other than flowers, vases, <br /> Sec. 2.76.130.Fees for opening graves and use of equipment. <br /> Fees for opening graves, disinterring bodies, and the use of equipment shall be established <br /> by the city manager or the director of parks and recreation as the manager's designee. <br /> Sec. 2.76.140. Perpetual care. <br /> All burial grave spaces in the city cemetery shall be perpetually cared for by the city. <br /> Sec. 2.76.150. Cemetery fund and cemetery perpetual care fund. <br /> A. The cemetery fund is established as a special revenue fund to account for funds used for <br /> care, operation, maintenance, improvement and expansion of the Louisville Cemetery and <br /> other cemetery purposes and expenses. The cemetery perpetual care fund is established as a <br /> permanent fund to support perpetual care and maintenance of the Louisville Cemetery. <br /> B. The city finance director shall place 50 percent of the money derived from the sale of grave <br /> spaces in the cemetery perpetual care fund and shall invest the money of the fund in <br /> securities. The interest derived shall be used exclusively to support care and maintenance of <br /> the Louisville Cemetery. Unless otherwise provided by ordinance, there shall be maintained <br /> in the cemetery perpetual care fund a minimum principal balance of $300,000.00. As <br /> authorized by city council, principal fund balances in excess of such amount may be <br /> transferred to the cemetery fund for care, operation, maintenance, improvement and <br /> expansion of the Louisville Cemetery and other cemetery purposes and expenses. <br /> Sec.2.76.160. Acts prohibited within cemetery. <br /> No person in the city cemetery shall: <br /> A. Drive or ride any machine or animal on lots, lawns or walks, except for maintenance as <br /> directed by the city manager or the manager's designee; <br /> B. Drive an automobile or other vehicle in excess of 15 miles per hour or other than at <br /> such lesser speed as is prudent under the existing conditions and circumstances; <br /> C. Discard paper boxes and other unsightly articles in the cemetery; <br /> D. Cause any employee to do work for lot owners without an order from the city manager <br /> or the manager's designee, or give to any employee any valuable consideration to do <br /> work for a lot owner; <br /> Ordinance No. 1666, Series 2014 <br /> Page 4 of 7 <br />
