<br /> <br />Staff gave a short review of the types of communication and outreach that are <br />currently done in the City. They specifically noted the different processes use for <br />general information versus legislative and quasi-judicial information. <br /> <br />The group discussed the various audiences that they City needs to reach: <br />residents, businesses, property owners, seniors, facility users, and event <br />participants. <br /> <br />The group discussed a variety of issues including social media, one-way versus <br />two-way communications, feedback mechanisms for residents to report <br />information or complaints, what the digital divide might mean to this project, <br />where residents get their information, and how and where do residents interact <br />with city staff. <br /> <br />The group identified some tentative deliverables for the Task Force: a <br />communications plan with associated costs for implementation and a definition of <br />how we measure success in outreach. Some members noted the need to retain <br />new staff to implement the plan. <br /> <br />Next Meeting: The group scheduled their next meeting, a brainstorming session, <br />th <br />for April 30 at 3:00 PM. <br /> <br />Adjourned at 5:45 PM. <br /> <br /> <br />
