<br />AUTHORIZA TION TO AWARD BID - GYMNASIUM FLOOR REFINISHING <br />PROJECT TO FLOOR CARE SPECIALIST <br />AUmORIZATION OF FUNDS FOR THE BOULDER COUNTY CONSORTIUM OF <br />CITIES TRANSPORTATION PLANNING PROJECT <br /> <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS ON ITEMS NOT ON THE AGENDA <br /> <br />NONE <br /> <br />COUNCIL INFORMATIONAL COMMENTS ON PERTINENT ITEMS <br />NOT ON THE AGENDA <br /> <br />Mayer mentioned that he had seen a bicyclist riding his bike in the bike lane going the wrong way on <br />Via Appia. He asked that the Police Department inform bikers as to the danger of doing this. <br /> <br />Howard thanked staff and all participants in the opening of the new ballfields. He complimented <br />Rachel Lampa on her singing. <br /> <br />Sisk had been contacted by some citizens regarding the abundance of mosquitos this year. <br /> <br />Steve Baysinger, Parks & Recreation Director, stated that the City is under contract with Colorado <br />Mosquito Control who had been putting traps out to monitor. If their next reading on the traps was <br />not on the level where they would get into the spraying, they would continue using the fish that eat <br />the mosquitos, controlling the mosquitos from other mechanisms than spraying. If spraying were to <br />be done, notices would be sent out to the neighborhoods. <br /> <br />Lathrop stated that the opening of the Sports Complex was very well done and he appreciated the <br />commemorative ball that each Council member was given. <br /> <br />REGULAR BUSINESS <br /> <br />PROCLAMATION - NATIONAL RECREATION AND PARKS MONTH - JULY 1996 <br /> <br />Davidson read the proclamation and presented it to Steve Baysinger, Parks & Recreation Director. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO 37, SERIES 1996 - INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT - <br />LAFAYETTEILOUISVILLE BUFFER COMPREHENSIVE DEVELOPMENT PLAN - <br />PUBLIC HEARING (PUBL. LSVL. TIMES 6/19 & 6/22/96) - CONTINUED FROM 6/18/96 <br /> <br />Davidson reopened the public hearing. <br /> <br />Bill Simmons, City Administrator, stated that this resolution proposed to approve an <br />Intergovernmental Agreement between Lafayette, Louisville, and Boulder County for the joint <br /> <br />2 <br />
