LSAB <br />Sustainability Roadmap — Localization <br />Definition: <br />Localization — the use of local sources of energy and other resources as a way to increase efficiency and <br />reduce waste. <br />Objective: <br />Provide education and information sources that promote and support local resources so that 50 -years <br />from now, Louisville will still be a great place to live. <br />Scope: <br />Provide education and information about local transportation, food and community resources. <br />Food <br />1. Farmers Market and other local food providers. For example: In Season, Alfalfas <br />2. Local grown food in Boulder County (community gardens, CSA's <br />Transportation <br />1. Via <br />2. RTD — how to navigate the bus system (apps, online tools, etc.) <br />3. Car share <br />4. Electric recharging stations <br />5. Future local bike programs (such as free tune -ups, bike safety workshops) <br />Community <br />1. Zoning practices that support localization <br />2. CREED certification for business data centers. <br />3. Define LOCAL for Louisville and have some certification (% grown in Boulder County) <br />4.
