Four <br />regular training sessions were held during the year. A total of 119 sellers and servers <br />from licensed establishments attended the training sessions, with 96 from Louisville <br />businesses. The Police Department also provided special training for the Street Faire <br />and Taste of Louisville servers. <br />ACTION ITEMS <br />The Authority held ten regularly scheduled meetings in 2013. One Special meeting was <br />called to discuss recommendations to Council concerning Retail Marijuana legislation. <br />In 2013, the Authority renewed 55 liquor licenses and granted local renewal approval for <br />two Medical Marijuana Centers. New legislation concerning change of location and <br />transfer of ownership for the Medical Marijuana Centers was drafted, reviewed and <br />referred to the City Council. <br />The Authority approved one new Hotel and Restaurant liquor license in 2013 (this was a <br />former Beer and Wine license holder) and granted approval for transfer of two liquor <br />licenses. The Authority held public hearings and approved a new Brew Pub license this <br />year and one new Beer and Wine license. Changes in Location were granted to two <br />existing licenses. in addition, twenty -six Special Events Permits were issued to five <br />non -profit organizations. The Authority considered other changes to licenses as they <br />occurred. The Authority continues to work with the downtown restaurants to provide for <br />alcohol service on the street patios. <br />2 <br />
