Local Licensing Authority <br />Minutes <br />June 23, 2014 <br />Page 4 of 5 <br />concept. She stated she no longer went to Colony Square because of the <br />unaccompanied children disrupting the movies. She is looking forward to <br />Cinebarre. <br />Carlson asked for any member of the audience who wished to speak in <br />opposition to the application. Hearing none, he asked for the applicant's closing <br />remarks. Mr. Coates asked the Authority to approve the application for a hotel <br />and restaurant liquor license. <br />Carlson thanked the applicant, closed the public hearing and asked for Authority <br />comment. <br />Hughes commented everything seemed to be in order and he was impressed <br />with the report of no violations in any of the other Cinebarre locations. Lipton <br />looked forward to the opening of Cinebarre. <br />Carlson said he had his questions answered and appreciated the updating of the <br />theatre. He commented since liquor licensing is two tier, local and state, state <br />enforcement may visit to check if Cinebarre is in compliance with all liquor laws. <br />Authority members informed the applicant the police department holds <br />seller /server training on a quarterly basis. Mr. Coates asked for a schedule of <br />those trainings. <br />Hughes moved the Local Licensing Authority of the City of Louisville find the <br />applicant is of good moral character, the inhabitants of the neighborhood <br />desire the license be granted, the license will meet the reasonable <br />requirements of the neighborhood, all City and State law requirements have <br />been met and, based on these findings, the Local Licensing Authority <br />approve issuance of a hotel and restaurant liquor license for Cinebarre LLC <br />doing business as Cinebarre. Lipton seconded. Roll Call Vote: Lipton — yes, <br />Machado — yes, Tennessen — yes, Hughes — yes and Carlson — yes. <br />License approved. <br />Police Department Reports <br />No reports. <br />Secretary's Report <br />Hanson noted the special seller /server training for the Street Faire volunteers <br />was very well attended. <br />Hanson reported City Council had appointed Tom Tennessen as a full member of <br />the Authority. <br />
