Planning Commission <br />Meeting Minutes <br />March 13, 2014 <br />Page 2of 9 <br />AT&T Antennae –Louisville Recreation Center: A request for a special <br />review use (SRU) to allow for the placement of 3 sectors of four (4) 8 foot <br />tall rooftop antennas, totaling 12 antennas. <br />Applicant, Owner and Representative:Cliff Spencer <br />Case Manager: Scott Robinson, Planner II <br />Public Notice Certification: <br />Published in the Camera on February 23, 2014. Posted in City Hall, the Library, the <br />Recreation Center, the Police and Court Building and mailed to surrounding property <br />owners on February 21, 2014. <br />Conflict of Interest and Disclosure: <br />Tengler stated he worked for Comcast but did not believe there was a conflict of <br />interest. <br />Staff Report of Facts and Issues: <br />Robinsonpresented from Power Point: <br />Zoned PCZD-C/R <br />o <br />15 new cell antenna canisters located on top of the Louisville Recreation <br />o <br />Center <br />There will be an equipment shelter on the east side of the building <br />o <br />Canisters will extend rooftop measurement to 41’6” in height, 10 ‘ above <br />o <br />roof parapet <br />Must comply with CMRS criteria, such as matching building materials. <br />o <br />The applicant is proposing antenna designs which comply with the existing <br />o <br />antenna and the building materials, including color <br />Staff believes all CMRS criteria have been met and therefore recommends <br />o <br />approval <br />O’Connell made a motion to enter into record all of the emails received in regards to this <br />project. Tengler seconded the motion. Motion approved by voice vote. <br />Commission Questions of Staff: <br />O’Connell asked ifthe antennas were staying below the height permitted in the zone <br />district. <br />Robinson stated they do. <br />O’Connell asked if the new antenna are the same height or taller than the existing. <br />Robinson stated the new antennae are taller. <br />Tengler asked why they were taller. <br />Robinson stated the 4G and LTE antennas are taller than the older antennae. <br />Rice asked where the height impact and views are evaluated. <br />Robinson stated the criteria askabout impacts on the surrounding properties and staff <br />believes the proposed height does not impact the views. <br />
