Conservation Easement 54’ conservation easement on east side of property o LFPD proposing a sign, fencing and gate within the easement o Easement was established as buffer for open space to the east. o Easement agreement, approved in 2005, does not permit construction o within the easement. Only construction permitted are structures approved by the City o Staff recommends approval with two (2) conditions: 1)The proposed monument sign,located within the 54 foot conservation easement, shall be relocated outside of the conservation easement. Staff shall review and approve a new location prior to City Council. 2)The proposed fence and entrywaygate, located within the 54 foot conservation easement, shall be relocated outside the conservation easement. Staff shall review and approve a new location prior to City Council. Commission Questions of Staff: Russell asked if the Commission can approveeither/or the fence or sign in the Conservation Easement or is it all or nothing. McCartney stated anything is possible for approval. Lipton asked staff for a recommendation of the sign and fence location. McCartney stated staff recommends just outsidethe 54’ conservation easement. Lipton clarified the project is not a phased project that just the building construction will be done by ‘phases’. McCartney confirmed in the affirmative.
