The EVSE purchase and installation
was made possible in large part from a Regional Air Quality Council grant. The purpose of
the grant is to reduce air emissions in the metro area through the use of electric vehicles.
Use of the EVSE requires either a major credit card with REID or an activated Charge-
Point card, which can be requested at www.chargepoint.com. The ChargePoint network is
the largest and most open electric vehicle charging network in the world, with a 70%plus ELECTRIC
share of all networked public charging stations. ChargePoint has a number of features that VEHICLE
make charging convenient, such as being able to see station availability in real time from CHARGING
your mobile phone.
The City of Louisville is currently charging a fee of$1.00 per hour while connected to STATION
the EVSE,with a maximum charge of$6.00 per 24 hour period. If you have any questions ,
or comments please contact DaveS@LouisvilleCO.gov.
Spring 2014 7
