Open Space Advisory Board <br />Meeting Minutes <br />th <br />Wednesday, July 9,2014 <br />Louisville Public Library <br />First Floor Meeting Room <br />951 Spruce Street <br />7:00pm <br />I. Call to Order- <br />Helen called the meeting to order at 7:02 pm. <br />II. Roll Call- <br />III. Approval of Agenda <br />Linda moved to approve the agenda as written. Christopher <br />seconded. The motion was passed unanimously. <br />IV. Approval of Meeting Minutes- <br />Linda moved to approve the agenda as written. <br />Christopher seconded. The motion was passed unanimously. <br />V. Staff Updates <br />1) The date of OSABs study session with Council has been changed again. The current <br />target date is Tuesday, September 23rd. OSAB members will be needed sometime <br />between 6-9pm. Contact Ember to RSVP. <br />2) On July 7th the first draft of the wayfinding RFP went to the wayfinding subcommittee <br />and staff to review. Ember wrote it and it was generally based on the previous OSAB <br />presentations. See also Discussion Item X. <br />3) Harlan is working on a baseline list of current signage in ArcView to map current open <br />space sign locations and social trails. He will also be interacting with the Wayfinding <br />consultants when they are hired. Harlan will present his work at the next OSAB meeting. <br />4) The section of trail under the railroad will be reconstructed by Urban Drainage. <br />Contractual documents between Urban Drainage and the Burlington Northern Railroad <br />are moving forward. Ember is also working with CDOT at the Coal Creek Trail Highway <br />36 underpass to coordinate work efforts. <br />5) Weeding is currently occurring at the new McCaslin underpass. The contractor is <br />fixing the irrigation system, and then seeding can occur. The ribbon cutting ceremony is <br />Friday, July 25th at 11:00. Staff would like OSAB members to attend the ceremony if <br />possible and to introduce the Mayor. Please RSVP to Ember. Ice cream will be served. <br />6) Staff is reviewing the Harney Lastoka management plan, a process that involves the <br />Cities of Louisville and Lafayette, and Boulder County. The question of how of these <br />three entities will supply the water for the farmer lease is still being negotiated.
