He asked to be <br />recused. <br />Robinson stated the recusal of Stewart meant the Board did not have a quorum to make <br />a decision on this item. <br />Fasick asked if the item could be delayed to see if La Grave shows up later, to fill out <br />the quorum. <br />The item was tabled until later in the agenda and Trice went to contact La Grave. <br />PUBLIC HEARING — 925 Lafarge Grant, Alteration Certificate <br />Robinson stated the applicant was not in attendance and asked for this item to be continued <br />later in the agenda. <br />PUBLIC HEARING — 927 Main Street Landmark, Grant, Alteration Certificate <br />Haley asked for ex parte communication or conflicts. <br />Robinson asked to have the four email entered into the record. <br />Fahey made a motion to enter the items into the record. Fasick seconded the motion. The <br />motion was approved by voice vote. <br />Robison presented staffs report. Staff recommends approval of the grant amount of $62,473, <br />with a contingency of $2,527. This would make a total grant of $65,000. They are also <br />requesting a new construction grant for $75,000. Staff believes this addition falls under the <br />criteria for new construction and recommends approval of the new construction grant. Staff <br />recommends approval of grant amounts totaling $140,000. <br />Stewart asked for clarification of what was being heard, since this item was continued form <br />June. <br />Robinson said the item was continued because the HPC requested more detailed information <br />for the grant request. <br />Applicant Presentation <br />Andy Johnson, architect for the project, presented. He stated the request is only for the grant <br />request. He stated the building has a lot of architectural integrity for Downtown and the <br />location is considered as part of the gateway to Downtown. He added the addition is <br />compatible and will afford needed space. He stated the property is also a larger lot than most. <br />
