<br />THE UNIFORM ELECTION CODE OF 1992 - 2ND READING - PUBLIC HEARING <br />(PUBL. LSVL. TIMES 7/27/96) <br /> <br />Griffiths read by title only Ordinance No. 1226, Series 1996, "An ordinance calling a Special Election <br />for November 5, 1996, to be conducted as a coordinated election, to refer a ballot issue to a vote of <br />the registered electors of the City, and electing to utilize the requirements of the Uniform Election <br />Code of 1992. " <br /> <br />Davidson moved that Council reconsider Ordinance No. 1226, Series 1996, on second reading. <br />Seconded by Mayer. All in favor. <br /> <br />Susan Griffiths, City Attorney, stated that this is a recommendation for adding a clarifying amendment <br />to the ballot question that Council had previously approved in Ordinance No. 1226, Series 1996. It <br />was being recommended to ensure that there is no voter confusion and to emphasize that the Sales <br />and Use Tax revenues of the City will remain subject to all limitations previously approved by the City <br />Council and by the voters. <br /> <br />Davidson opened the public hearing calling for anyone wishing to speak on this issue. <br /> <br />NONE <br /> <br />Davidson closed the public hearing and called for Council comments or questions. <br /> <br />Sisk moved that Council amend on second reading Ordinance No. 1226, Series 1996. Seconded by <br />Mayer. Roll call was taken. Motion passed by a 6 - 0 vote with Howard being absent. <br /> <br />Sisk moved that Council approve on second reading Ordinance No. 1226, Series 1996, as amended. <br />Seconded by Lathrop. Roll call was taken. Motion passed by a 6 - 0 vote with Howard being absent. <br /> <br />BOULDER VALLEY SCHOOL DISTRICT ANNEXATION <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 49, SERIES 1996 - SUBSTANTIAL COMPLIANCE FOR 80.77 <br />ACRES - BOULDER VALLEY SCHOOL DISTRICT <br /> <br />Paul Wood, Planning Director, reviewed Resolution No. 49, a resolution of substantial compliance <br />- Boulder Valley School District Annexation Petition, Ordinance No. 1229 for annexation of 80.77 <br />acres, and Ordinance 1230 for PCZD-C zoning. He stated that the petition had been signed by the <br />president of the School Board. The applicant wanted to raise an issue with one of the provisions of <br />the petition. On page No.4, item six of the petition, they wanted clarification of their position as <br />a District. Also, No.9, page NO.5 had been revised reflecting the unique relationship between the <br />District and the City with regard to the IGA. <br /> <br />Davidson called for the applicant's presentation. <br /> <br />8 <br />
