Since the grant would be dispersed this fiscal <br />year, a supplemental appropriation would be needed. <br /> <br />Michael Reis, Louisville Housing Authority, was there to answer any questions. <br /> <br />Sisk called for Council questions or motions. <br /> <br />Howard moved that Council authorize the Mayor Pro- Tem to sign a sponsorship letter for the <br />Louisville Housing Authority Senior Housing Grant application. Seconded by Keany. Roll call was <br />taken. Motion passed by a 6 - 0 vote with Davidson being absent. <br /> <br />OTHER ITEMS ARISING AFTER PREPARATION OF THE AGENDA <br /> <br />NONE <br /> <br />CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT <br /> <br />NONE <br /> <br />CITY ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT <br /> <br />Bill Simmons, City Administrator, presented Council with a new pamphlet put out by the Louisville <br />Police Department entitled Victim Rights and Assistance. This was made possible through a Lime <br />Grant from the Colorado Consortium of Community Policing. It was initiated by former Louisville <br />Police Officer Darin Joko and completed by Commander Bill Kingston. He reported that staffwill <br />be conducting a neighborhood meeting on the engineering plan for Drainageway D. The Boulder <br />County Days meeting with Boulder County Commissioners was cancelled and had not been <br />rescheduled. For the September 10 Work Session the Downtown Business Association will be <br />invited. Also attending will be a representative of the Regional Air Quality Commission. The 1997 <br />Budget will be presented at that meeting. At the September 24 Work Session Council will meet with <br />the Planning Commission to review the Commercial Design Guidelines. Simmons had two suggested <br />dates for a meeting with the Lafayette City Council, September 18 or 25. <br /> <br />COUNCIL COMMENTS AND COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> <br />Mayer reported that he attended the Solid Waste Authority meeting and a logo had been adopted as <br />well as a pamphlet describing what the Authority does, which he passed out. An Executive Director <br />had not been found as of yet. <br /> <br />Lathrop noticed that there is not a pedestrian access from the west for Miner's Field, which he felt <br />was inconvenient for the elderly attending any functions there. <br /> <br />7 <br />
