Mr. Pickens presented pictures to the Commission to show them where the signs will be
located. Commissioner McAllister asked about nicer looking cart corals. Mr. Louis Campoto,
Safeway Construction Department, 6900 South Yosemite, Englewood, CO 80112, stated that
they do make a better looking standard pipe cart corral and that they would be able to look into
installing a nicer looking cart coral.

Chairman Boulet is pleased with the overall proposal as well as the landscaping proposal. Boulet
would like to find out more details about the landscape plan and then have them added to the
PUD Plan. Mr. Campoto agreed to have his architect take a look at the landscaping and what they
would like to do there. Boulet would like to add a condition that shrubbery is provided on
landscape islands in the parking lot.

Mr. Campoto would like to preserve the “Open 24 Hours” sign and the bank sign. Chairman
Boulet explained that the CDDSG prohibits such signs. Mr. Campoto asked that the sign code be

4
