Applicant Presentation:

David Gray, President of G. E. Enterprises. Mr. Gray apologized for the misunderstanding
regarding the SRU previously. Mr. Gray was under the impression that the SRU was for the
retail element of his business, which the company ceased two years after their application and
approval. The landlord was agreeable to the expansion so they have expanded over the last
couple of years. The applicant is requesting more space.

Members of Public:

Deb Carpenter, 1445 Cannon, Louisville. Ms. Carpenter is concerned with all of the trash that is
on G.E. Enterprises property and the fact that it has been blowing all along the street and
surrounding areas. She is also concerned with the dust and would like to see the property
watered down more often.

Mariann Lastoka, 1445 Cannon Street, Louisville. Ms. Lastoka does not have a problem with the
applicant expanding, however, if there is an increase in business, then there will be an increase in
traffic, which does concern her. She is also concerned with the trash, dust, and large trucks that
come through the neighborhood. Ms. Lastoka would like to see a recommendation made to have
the applicant look into fencing their property to keep the trash and dust in their own yard.

Karl Cantrel, 945 Griffith Street, Louisville. Mr. Cantrel feels that they have not had a proper
outlet to express their concerns regarding G.E. Enterprises wholesale business with their trucks
and the company bringing their equipment and supplies in and out of the neighborhood. Mr.
Cantrel described this business as being a 24-hour operation of trucks coming through the
neighborhood and dropping off trees and mulch. Mr. Cantrel is also concerned with the trash and
smell of this property.

Eleanor Cantrel, 945 Griffith Street, Louisville. Mrs. Cantrel is also concerned with the issues of
dust, trash and smell that is coming from G.E. Enterprises.

Commission Questions:

Commissioner Lipton suggested that this hearing be continued to May 11, 1999, in order to give
the Applicant and the Staff an opportunity to work with the neighbors and better identify the
issues for the Commission.

Applicant Response:

Mr. Gray is also interested in doing this in an appropriate way. He stated that they have not had
any of their neighbors come and talk directly to them directly about any of these issues or else
they would have addressed them at that time. Mr. Gray would be willing to continue this hearing
to May.

4
