Seconded by Chris <br />Pritchard. <br /> <br />All were in favor. <br /> <br /> <br />B. Resolution No. 39, Series 1999, Louisville United Methodist Church, 741 <br />Jefferson Street. Special Review Use for expansion of an existing church in a <br />residential zoning district. <br /> <br /> <br />Staff Public Notice Certification: <br /> <br />Manjeet Ranu, Planner II, certified that public notice was published in the Daily Camera on July 24, <br />and mailed to surrounding property owners on July 23, 1999, a continuance was granted at the <br />Staff’s request to August 19, 1999. All Planning Commissioners verified that they were familiar with <br />the site. <br /> <br /> <br />Staff Report of Facts and Issues: <br /> <br />Mr. Ranu stated that the Board of Adjustment granted the requested variance for the addition the <br />night before and that there was no opposing public comments entered into the record. The church did <br />previously approve Special Review Use authorization in 1997 for this same proposal, however, the <br />church was unable to proceed with the addition prior to the expiration of the SRU, which expires <br />within six months if no substantial construction has taken place. Mr. Ranu presented the details of this <br />matter as stated in the staff report. <br /> <br />Commission Questions: <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />Applicant Presentation: <br /> <br />C. P. Watkins, member of the church and resident of Louisville. Mr. Watkins stated that the church is <br />ready to start construction now and they will not have to go through this process again. They have <br />raised money to begin construction and they are in the process of getting a loan. <br /> <br /> <br />Members of the Public: <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br /> <br /> 2 <br /> <br />
