Applicant Presentation:

Julianna Pochon, Architect for Omni Promotional. Ms. Pochon had two comments in response to the
Staff’s recommendations. Ms. Pochon presented their proposed color scheme and what the building
would look like with the Staff’s recommendations. They are concerned that the color scheme would
be reduce to a red, white and blue color scheme that could be problematic. They are also concerned
with the shortened stripes at the bottom that may look like a mistake because there is such a small
amount of differentiation between the stripes running around the building. They propose to leave the
colors as they had them for those two reasons.

Members of the Public:

None.

Commission Questions/Comments:

Commissioner Thompson asked how the Nature’s Apothocary color scheme compares to this
building. Ms. Pochon stated that they have no relationship whatsoever to that building. They are
sticking more closely to the adjacent buildings colors.

Commissioner Pritchard asked why they chose these colors. Ms. Pochon stated that they chose colors
that were similar to adjacent buildings and also consistent with the colors of the logo of the tenant that
are going in.

Commissioner Solek asked if it might make sense to change the red to a teal color. Ms. Pochon
explained that the red is a railing, not a color on the wall.

Commissioner Boulet wants to make sure that this cream color will not change. Ms. Pochon said they
will use the color that is already up. Boulet is concerned with three primary colors on one building.
Pochon asked if it would be acceptable to put their vertical stripes back in and exchange the red for
the green on the accent, then there will not be a red, white and blue that is not acceptable to the
owner. Boulet agreed. He would like to see an earth tone green. Pochon likes the bold green as an
accent color.

Commissioner Lipton asked what this company does. Ms. Pochon stated that they are screen printers.

Staff Summary:

Kenneth Johnstone stated that Staff is recommending approval of the Resolution No. 40, Series 1999,
with the two conditions in the resolution and would like input on the colors. Johnstone agrees with
Ms. Pochon’s suggestions on the colors.

Applicant Summary:

4
