<br /> <br /> <br />5.Election of Officers <br /> <br />Lipton reminded the Planning Commissions that the election of officers had been tabled during the <br />January 2003 meeting with the request that the Staff contact the 2002 officers regarding their <br />interest in serving for another year. He reported that Staff advised him via email that all the <br />current officers are interested in serving another year. Lipton requested a motion to approve their <br />re-appointment. Commissioner Chris Pritchard moved and Commissioner Bill McDermott <br />seconded. The motion passed with unanimous voice vote. <br /> <br /> <br />6.Public Comments- Items Not On the Agenda <br /> <br />Lipton called for public comment. None heard. <br /> <br />7A. Regular Business – Items recommended for continuance/withdrawal <br /> <br /> Village Shops at Colony Square, <br />an amended final planned unit development (PUD) to <br />permit the use of corporate logo signs, permit the change of color for signs with exposure <br />to McCaslin Blvd, and to permit the tower at the SE corner of the center to be lighted and <br />to function as a monument sign, Lots 1, 2, 3, & 4 Colony Square. Case #02-027-FP. <br />(Staff requests to continuance to April 8, 2003.) <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Case Manager: Kenneth Johnstone, Principal Planner <br /> <br /> <br />Applicant: Bill Wildberger, Tokyo Joes <br /> <br />Lipton requested if Staff had additional comments regarding the request for continuance other <br />then the memo sent in the meeting packet. <br /> <br />Staff had no additional comments but would address any questions from the Commissioners. <br /> <br />Commissioner Tom McAvinew stated that perhaps the request should be worded as a joint <br />request from the applicant and staff. <br /> <br />McDermott moved and Commissioner Debra Kalish seconded a motion to approve the <br />continuance of Case #02-027-FP. Motion passed by voice vote. <br /> <br />Lipton queried the audience to confirm the presence of the applicant for Case #03-002. <br />Recognizing that the applicant was not present he requested that the Staff and Commission move <br />to the Discussion and Direction Items on the agenda. <br /> <br /> <br />8.Discussion / Direction <br /> <br /> <br />Follow-up on Joint City Council and Planning Commission Study Session – Discussion, <br /> <br />Paul Wood, Planning Director <br /> <br />Kenneth Johnstone, Principal Planner, reviewed the Joint City Council and Planning Commission <br />Study Session.
