DRAFT <br /> <br /> <br />5.Public Comments – Items Not On The Agenda <br /> None <br /> <br /> <br />6.Staff Comments <br /> <br /> <br />Citywide Comprehensive Plan Update <br /> <br />Wood reviewed the progress with the following points of discussion: <br />Several special interest groups have requested meeting with Staff. <br /> <br /> <br />The project is on schedule and on budget. <br /> <br /> <br />A letter to approximately 900 residents within the Centennial Valley area was mailed <br /> <br /> <br />to encourage their participation is the third workshop. Kalish questioned the mailing <br />of the letter and how other areas were notified of similar circumstances. Wood <br />discussed the notification processes that have been used throughout the entire process. <br />The third and final public workshop is scheduled for Thursday, November 18, 2004 at <br /> <br /> <br />the Recreation Center. It is scheduled to start at 4:30 with an Open House format and <br />then at 6:30 will move to a formal presentation by the Consultant Team and Staff. <br />The goal of the workshop is to develop one preferred Land Use Plan. <br /> <br /> <br />Highway 42 Revitalization Area Update <br /> <br />Johnstone reviewed the progress with the following points of discussion: <br />The Louisville Revitalization Commission will conduct interviews next week for the <br /> <br /> <br />RFP for the Conditions Survey. <br />The Brownfield Assessment RFP has been published and distributed to several firms. <br /> <br /> <br />They are due back on Friday, November 12, 2004. <br />A draft of the Mixed Use Zoning District will be available for the Working Group to <br /> <br /> <br />review at an upcoming meeting. <br />Another RFP is soon to go out for the CDOT HWY 42 road design and traffic study. <br /> <br /> <br />The passing of FasTrack is encouraging for the project. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />7A.Regular Business – Items Recommended for Continuance / Withdrawal <br /> None. <br /> <br />7B.Regular Business – Public Hearing Items <br /> <br /> <br /> Historic Preservation Ordinance <br /> – Discussion / Direction <br /> <br />Lipton opened the public hearing and requested a staff report. <br /> <br />Staff report / comments Johnstone explained that the hearing this evening is one of <br />discussion/direction item rather then a regular public hearing. There is no formal Resolution for <br />the Commission to act on. The City Council has requested the Commission to review and <br />provide comments on the proposed Ordinance. Any comments will be forwarded to both the <br />Preservation Commission and City Council for consideration during the public hearing review of <br />the proposed regulations. <br /> <br />Johnstone provided the following summary points: <br />2 <br /> <br /> <br />
