APPROVED – FEBRUARY 10, 2005 <br />Elizabeth Griffin, 941 Cypress Lane, stated she has been unable to attend the public workshops <br />on the Citywide Comprehensive Plan. She encouraged the Planning Commission to consider the <br />need for Low Income housing and Patio Homes for the Empty Nesters and retirement <br />population. The area to consider is west of McCaslin. <br /> <br /> <br />NOTE: Kalish arrived at 6:45 P.M. <br /> <br />6A.Regular Business – Items Recommended for Continuance / Withdrawal <br /> <br /> <br /> Resolution No. 25, Series 2004, City of Louisville, Public Library, <br />a final planned <br />unit development (PUD) to build a new 31,333 SF Library on two levels with a below <br />grade parking structure at 801 Front St., Lots 2-6, Block 2, Louisville Old Town <br />(northwest corner of the intersection of Spruce and Front Streets.). Case #04-033-FP <br />(Applicant request to continue to January 27, 2005.) <br /> <br /> <br />Case Manager: Paul Wood, Planning Director <br /> <br /> <br />Applicant and Owner: City of Louisville <br /> <br /> <br />Representative: Humphries Poli Architects <br /> <br /> Spruce Street Right-of-Way Vacation, <br />a request to vacate a 198 foot long strip of <br />street right-of-way lying north of W. Applicant request to <br />continue to January 27, 2005.) <br /> <br /> <br />Case Manager: Kenneth Johnstone, Principal Planner <br /> <br /> <br />Applicant and Owner: Rick Lucky <br /> <br />Pritchard moved and Loo seconded to continue the two items to the January 27, 2005 Planning <br />Commission meeting date. <br />McDermott asked what was holding up the Library. <br />Wood stated that the materials requested by the Planning Commission as the previous meeting <br />was still be developed. <br />Motion passed with a unanimous voice vote. <br /> <br />6B.Regular Business – Public Hearing Items <br /> <br /> <br />Lipton asked for a show of hands from those in the audience that had come for the Lamar’s <br />Donut hearing, then the Empire Road Subdivision, then the Jiffy Lube and for the Coffee Shop. <br />Based on the number of people in the audience he requested that the hearings be held in the <br />following order: Lamar’s Donut, Coffee Shop, Empire Road, and then Jiffy Lube. No objections <br />from the other Commissioners <br /> <br /> <br />Resolution No. 02, Series 2005, Matam Inc. (dba Lamar’s Donuts), <br />a request to <br />amend the final planned unit development (PUD) development plan to allow the <br />continued use of a 42 SF non-conforming sign, rather than modify the sign to comply <br />with a 25 SF maximum sign area and other PUD sign requirements.
