APPROVED – FEBRUARY 10, 2005 <br /> <br />Matt Cox, owner of Lamar’s Donut, confirmed that the sign illumination timing has been <br />changed and does not operate after 10:00 P.M. <br /> <br />Questions of Applicant: <br />Lipton asked who determined the sign design. <br />Cox stated that the corporate office determines the sign design and the owners then pay for the <br />sign. <br /> <br />Kalish asked if anyone had discussed the issue of painting the sign. <br />Cox stated that he had not. <br /> <br />Pritchard asked what a new sign would cost and what would be cost for removal of the current <br />sign. <br />Cox and Staff stated that they do not have any of the costs available for discussion. <br /> <br />Pritchard continued with questions about store hours and shut off time of sign. <br />Cox confirmed the following: <br /> Store hours: Monday – Saturday: 5:30 A.M. – 4:30 P.M. <br /> Sign shut-off: programmed to shut-off at 10:00 P.M. <br /> <br />Loo asked if they had anyone tell them they could not see the sign. <br />Cox replied: No. <br /> <br />Deborski requested clarification of the source of illumination. <br />Cox stated a neon tube that progresses from blue to white to blue to white, etc. <br /> <br />Members of the Public: <br />Chris Marshall, 181 Cherrywood Lane, Louisville, requested that the sign be kept to the required <br />PUD requirement of 25 SF. Also recommended that the City build a fencing wall along the <br />Cherrywood Subdivision that abuts McCaslin Blvd. <br /> <br />Elizabeth Griffin, 941 Cypress Lane, Louisville, recommends that the City should pay for the <br />replacement. She also stated that the commercial development along McCaslin has saddened the <br />neighborhood. <br /> <br />Bill Kaufman, 905 Cypress Lane, President of Cherrywood II Homeowners Association, stated <br />that the light can be seen by the residents on Dahlia St. and the City should pay for the cost of the <br />replacement sign. <br /> <br />George McKee, 946 Cypress Lane, provided a copy of a letter to each Commission and then he <br />provided details to the content of the letter to the Commission. <br /> <br />Pritchard moved and Loo seconded a motion to enter the letter into public record.
