Jones email dated February 24, 2005 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />3.Revised Chapter 1 <br /> <br />Conflict of Interest and Disclosure: None heard. <br />Public Notice Verification: Wood stated that the public hearing had been continued from the <br />February 24, 2005 Planning Commission meeting. The agenda for this hearing was posted in <br />City Hall, the Public Library, the Recreation Center and the Police and Courts building on March <br />11, 2005. <br />Public Hearing Format: Lipton reviewed the format for the hearing as follows: 1) Staff and <br />Consultant presentations; 2) Public comment (4 minutes per person); 3) Commission discussion <br />and direction; and 4) Public comment. <br />Staff and Consultant Presentation: Bill Simmons, City Manager, provided a brief overview of <br />the following: 1) The various Intergovernmental Agreements (IGA) that Louisville is a <br />participant; 2) Current residential units; 3) The impact to Louisville regarding the FasTracks <br />ballot issue; 4) The Bus Rapid Transit in Louisville at HWY 36 and McCaslin; and 5) The <br />number of square miles that within the Louisville City limits and its relationship to the actual <br />number of square miles that can still be developed. <br />Sheets requested clarification of the role and relationship that Louisville has with DRCOG. <br />Simmons provided more details. <br />Deborski asked what benefits does the City received from DRCOG. <br />Simmons stated that the two primary areas of support that the City receives is in Aging Services <br />and that DRCOG serves as a so called Transportation clearing house for Federal and State <br />money. <br />Enter into public record: Paul Wood, Planning Director, reviewed the items to be entered into <br />public record as follows: 1) email from Joan and David Schrader dated March 15, 2005; 2) email <br />from Robert Slater dated March 15, 2005; 3) email from Valentine Stonington dated March 14, <br />2005; 4) email from Samuel Forsyth dated March 14, 2005; 5) letter from Walter A. Koelbel, Jr. <br />dated March 14, 2005; 6) email from John Carron dated March 15, 2005; 7) email from BJ Jones <br />dated February 24, 2005 and 8) letter from Rob Lathrop dated February 26, 2005. <br />McAvinew moved and Pritchard seconded a motion to enter into public record the emails and <br />letters as outlined by Wood. Motion passed by unanimous voice vote. <br />Wood informed those in attendance that copies of the Power Point presentation that will be used <br />later in the meeting is available as well as copies of the Comp. Plan. If additional copies are <br />needed they can be copied. He continued with a review of the process that was used for the <br />development of the Comprehensive Plan and public input had been maximized during the <br />process. He referenced the document ‘Stakeholder Interview Compilation by Plan Elements’ and <br />the three documents titled ‘Public Meeting Summary’ that were included in the meeting packet. <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br /> <br />
