Cultural Council <br />MINUTES OF MEETING <br />Thursday, August 21 2014 <br />Spruce Conference Room <br />City Hall, 749 Main Street, Louisville <br /> <br />7:00 <br />PM <br /> <br />I. Call to Order Susan called the meeting to order at 7:16p.m. <br />II. Roll Call Members present Susan, Lawrence, Shary, Denice, Mark, Angie. <br />Blake arrived at 7:40p.m. Board Members Absent: Liz, Darin, Jennifer <br /> <br /> City Council Representative: Ashley Stultzmann and Staff Liaison: <br />Suzanne Janssen <br /> <br />IV. Approval of Agenda Motion to approve. The motion was unanimous. <br /> <br />V. Approval of Minutes Minutes from April, May and June Minutes were <br />approved. No meeting was held in July. <br />VI. Public Comments on Items Not on the Agenda: None <br />VII. Report - Mr. Villany, the new CPA for the LCC, attended the <br />meeting and the council was able to pose questions regarding the <br />profit and loss sheets and how to differentiate between unrestricted or <br />restricted funds. He will provide assistance and oversight for the <br />th <br />treasurer. August 16 Fundraiser was very successful and the money <br />will be earmarked for Art in the Park. The total is not final but the <br />amount is approximately $1000. <br />VIII. Programming Reports/Updates: <br /> Request for Sponsorship: Lsvl Arts Rhythm & Hues Sat. 9/27- Event <br />providing artists and then the paintings are auctioned to support the Arts District. <br />Discussion about whether we should sponsor the event. A decision was made to <br />sponsor the event at a $100-$200 level. <br /> Old Town Cinema need to follow up to see how things went <br /> Summer Concert Recap went well, except for the sound issues with one <br />group. Will be willing to talk with sound equipment people to ensure that the <br />formally <br />thank the Sound and Light Club. Mark has estimates for how many people <br />attended. Mark will put together a check list to help when he is not around. <br />Image and Word: We raised about $1000. <br />1 <br />
