In 1994 he worked for
the City to develop a tennis program for juniors and to run lessons programs, which have expanded
massively. He explained the great need for the new courts and lights if possible.

COUNCIL INFORMATIONAL COMMENTS ON PERTINENT ITEMS
NOT ON THE AGENDA

Tom Phare, Public Works Director, had Ken Mason, Superintendent of the Waste Water Treatment
Plant, come forward to present the Mayor with the awards presented to the City in a meeting with
the EP A regarding the City's award in recognition for the City's biosolids disposal practices. The
award recognized the beneficial reuse that the City has on its biosolids, as well as new technology of
air drying, low tech and low cost.

Davidson pointed out this is the second set ofEP A awards the Wastewater Treatment Plant had won.

Mayer commented that the City Administrator had reported on any side/additional agreements that
were part of the 1982 Neodata PUD approval. The report was in Council's mailboxes.

Sisk stated that this afternoon he had attended the Senior Advisory meeting and he found that it
appears as if Boulder County is no longer furnishing meals as of December 31. There is a $92,000
grant that is being held in limbo until arrangements could be made. He pointed out that the kitchen
at the Senior Center is badly deficient and the issue needed to be resolved in the next 75 days.

REGULAR BUSINESS

INTRODUCTION OF NEW EMPLOYEES FOR THIRD QUARTER

Bruce Goodman, Chief of Police, introduced Police Officers Colleen Griswold, Jay Lanphere,
Jacqueline (11) Waters, Christi Gordanier, and Code Enforcement Officer Bill Martin.

Steve Baysinger, Parks & Recreation Director, introduced Suzanne Cass-Pappas who had been
promoted to Recreation Supervisor I and Recreation Supervisor I Kathy Martin.

Paul Wood, Planning Director, introduced Administrative Secretary II Michelle Cody.

Tom Phare, Public Works Director, introduced Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator Leslie Griffin
and Chief Operator Arlin Lieuance at the Wastewater Treatment Plant.

Bill Blankenship, Human Resources Officer, introduced Human Resources Technician Malissa White.

3
