RESOLUTION NO. 60 <br />SERIES 2014 <br />A RESOLUTION MAKING LEGISLATIVE FINDINGS DETERMINING AN AREA <br />WITHIN THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE TO BE A BLIGHTED AREA <br />WHEREAS, The City of Louisville (the City) contracted with Urban Revitalization <br />Consulting to survey and document whether conditions that constitute a blighted area, as defined in <br />the Colorado Urban Renewal Law, sections 31 -25 -101, et seq., C.R.S. (the Law) exist in the City of <br />Louisville; and <br />WHEREAS, said consultants have prepared a Conditions Survey, entitled 550 South <br />McCaslin Boulevard Conditions Survey (the "Conditions Survey ") dated July 2014 consisting of 31 <br />pages, a map of the area provided on page 15, and including a description of existing conditions and <br />photographs; and <br />WHEREAS, the Conditions Survey is a matter of public record in the custody of the City <br />Clerk, and is available for public inspection during business hours of the City; and <br />WHEREAS, the Conditions Survey was presented to the City Council by said consultants on <br />July 15, 2014; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council on October 7, 2014 held a public hearing for the purpose of <br />review and consideration of the Conditions Survey, at which time the Conditions Survey and other <br />evidence and testimony were presented to City Council, and <br />WHEREAS, upon consideration of the Conditions Survey and the other evidence and <br />testimony presented to City Council, the City Council finds and determines that the Conditions <br />Survey shows that the area described in Section 2 hereof qualifies as a blighted area as defined in the <br />Law. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: <br />Section 1. The City Council finds, determines and declares that the following conditions of <br />blight, as defined by section 31- 25- 103(2) of the Law, exist in the area described in Section 2 hereof: <br />(a) Faulty lot layout in relation to size, adequacy, accessibility, or usefulness; <br />(b) Deterioration of site or other improvements; <br />Resolution No. 60, Series 2014 <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />
