Business Retention & Development Committee <br />Meeting Minutes <br />September 17, 2014 <br />Page 5 of 5 <br />Per sqft per employee going down. <br />Is there access to commercial capital /lending? <br />Capital is there, underwriting is tough. <br />What is importance of drive thru for retailer? <br />For certain retailers — paramount. Banks — not as important as it used to be. <br />Synergy /activation /need for density connection is important. <br />Sam's Club aside, for the west side of McCaslin in Centennial Valley, how many residences <br />would it take to support retail? <br />We can't answer. May be over - retailed right now. We would like to build 5 — 6 6 units. High <br />end. <br />What about mixed use? Ground floor retail with office above. <br />Vertical mixed use is a challenge. Hard to be accessible, parking.
