Will Council continue to increase and maintain transparency in the Conservation <br />Trust Fund Budget? <br />a. OSAB advocates for the clear separation of open space and parks budget <br />categories and reporting in the budget. In recent years these lines have been <br />reported together, resulting in reduced ability to educate and inform the <br />public, benchmark open space spending with other programs on such budget <br />categories as acquisitions and operations, develop and track trust fund <br />priorities, and account for open space spending and project progress reports. <br />b. OSAB strongly supports Council's objective to maintain minimum acquisition <br />balances in the fund <br />c. Memo to the Council (attached) <br />2. Will Council explore developing and pursuing acquisition strategies? <br />d. How can we (City of Louisville) make open space and parks acquisition a <br />higher priority, and make the process more strategic, advanced and <br />proactive? <br />e. Currently we rely on developer dedications, partnerships with Boulder County <br />Open Space, and partnerships with neighboring towns. <br />f.
