City Council <br />Meeting Minutes <br />October 7, 2014 <br />Page 7 of 27 <br />She stated it is consistent with the elements of the Comprehensive Plan for the area <br />and thanked the applicant for bringing the project forward. <br />RESOLUTION No. 57, SERIES 2014 <br />MOTION: Council member Loo moved to approve Resolution No.57, Series 2014, <br />seconded by Mayor Pro Tem Dalton. <br />Council member Stolzmann reiterated to staff the importance of the Council meeting <br />with the Boulder Valley School District to discuss the enrollment issues at the Louisville <br />Elementary and Louisville Middle Schools. She stated this is an example of the letter of <br />referral from BVSD that does not adequately address the problem. <br />VOTE: All were in favor. <br />RESOLUTION No. 58, SERIES 2014 <br />MOTION: Council member Loo moved to approve Resolution No.58, Series 2014, <br />seconded by Mayor Pro Tem Dalton. All were in favor. <br />RESOLUTION No. 59, SERIES 2014 <br />MOTION: Mayor Muckle moved to approve Resolution No. 59, Series 2014, seconded <br />by Mayor Pro Tem Dalton. Roll call vote was taken and the motion carried by a vote of <br />7 -0. <br />PUBLIC COMMENT ON BOULDER COUNTY BALLOT ISSUE 1A <br />Mayor Muckle explained Mr. Christiansen had asked to comment on County Ballot <br />Issue 1A. <br />Dave Christiansen, 2066 Eisenhower, Louisville, CO explained he is employed by the <br />Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), but as a private citizen, he wanted to voice his <br />support for County Issue 1A, which would assist in the flood recovery. As an employee <br />of the EPA he was involved in the flood recovery projects, with the Boulder County <br />Sheriff's Office and Emergency Response. He commended Sheriff Pelle and the <br />Emergency responders and explained they did an incredible job because they had <br />dedicated resources to manage emergency response. He noted the flood might have <br />been much worse if the County was not prepared. He commended Mayor Muckle for <br />endorsing Boulder County Ballot 1A and encouraged all Council members to do so. He <br />suggested the entire Council endorse the ballot issue on behalf of the City. <br />RESOLUTION No. 60, SERIES 2014 — A RESOLUTION MAKING LEGISLATIVE <br />FINDINGS DETERMINING AN AREA WITHIN THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE TO BE A <br />
