RESOLUTION NO. 64 <br />SERIES 2014 <br />A RESOLUTION CONCERNING THE GOLF COURSE ADVISORY BOARD AND THE <br />MASTER PLAN FOR THE COAL CREEK GOLF COURSE <br />WHEREAS, Coal Creek Golf Course is a major park and recreation asset to the <br />City of Louisville; and <br />WHEREAS, it is important for this community asset to be maintained and <br />managed in a manner that maximizes its benefits for all golfers and the citizens of <br />Louisville; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council desires an Advisory Board to give the City Council <br />recommendations on matters related to the Coal Creek Golf Course; and <br />WHEREAS, City Council by this resolution desires to update certain provisions <br />regarding membership, goals and responsibilities for the Golf Course Advisory Board <br />(GCAB), which serves as an Advisory Board to the City Council; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: <br />Section 1. The Golf Course Advisory Board (the "Board ") shall serve in an advisory <br />capacity to City Council and City staff. The membership, appointments, terms and rules <br />regarding the Board and its members shall be as follows: <br />A. Membership. The Board shall consist of seven (7) members providing a balanced, <br />community -wide representation. All members will be residents of Louisville. <br />B. Appointments and terms of office. Members of the Board shall be appointed by <br />the City Council and shall serve three -year staggered terms from the date of <br />appointment. Members may be appointed to serve successive terms without <br />limitation. Appointments to fill vacancies on the Board shall be made by the City <br />Council. All members of the Board shall serve without compensation except for <br />such amounts determined appropriate by the City Council to offset expenses <br />incurred in the performance of their duties. <br />C. Removal from Board. A member may be removed during his /her term of office for <br />cause as defined in the Louisville Home Rule Charter and Resolution No. 16, <br />Series 2009. <br />Resolution No. 64, Series 2014 <br />Page 1 of 3 <br />
