NEW SKATEBOARD PARK FOR LOUISVILLE <br /> The new skateboard park is scheduled to be complete by early summer. This state • <br /> of the art park will be constructed just west of the inline rink located next to the s4, <br /> Recreation/Senior Center. All II <br /> Members of the community, along with a variety of interested skateboarders, have been <br /> assisting in the development of the plans for the park. Based on the format of "kinetic art," , <br /> the skate park will be built with the landscape that is sunken along Via Appia. Everyone, 1 <br /> beginners and experts alike, is sure to find this approximately 13,000 square foot skate park <br /> a quality facility. <br /> In addition, a new drop off/limited parking area will be built to serve the arboretum, <br /> inline rink, and the skate park. Although the Recreation/Senior Center parking lot will <br /> continue to serve the majority of visitors to the area, this new limited parking area will be available to assit <br /> individuals who are dropping off equipment and people close to these amenities. <br /> Also, a bridge will be established from the parking area to the Louisville Arboretum. This bridge, which will be <br /> located to the south of the parking lot, will allow individuals the opportunity to wander through the soft surface <br /> trails that connect the arboretum to this new central area.
