2005 LEAF COLLECTION
OCTOBER 24 - NOVEMBER 21
As in previous years, the Old Town Neighborhoods, having the most mature trees, will have curbside "Vacu-
um Leaf Collection Service." Please rake leaves into the street in piles or wind rows at your
curb and park vehicles away from piles, so they are accessible. On Monday of each week, City 6
crews will start vacuuming leaves at South Boulder Road and work south through Old Town, by
weeks end. - *
The "Bagged Leaf Collection Program"will be provided to all other City neighborhoods. City
crews will start picking up bags each from Monday, October 24—November 21. It can take two
to three days to complete this task each week, so please be patient if we do not get to them on
Monday. Place your bagged leaves at the curb and please keep leaf bags and garbage bags separate. Leaf bags should
be free of trash, grass clippings, sticks, etc.
A"Drop-Off Option"is also available. Residents are encouraged to dump leaves at our drop-off sites and reuse
the bags. This will help control the costs of the program, save the cost of the bags, and keep bags out of the landfill.
Drop offlocations are:
Wastewater Treatment Plant: 1601 Empire Road, open every day, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
Warembourg Fishing Pond Parking Lot: Cherry Street, just east of Heritage Park
North Lift Station: East side of Centennial Drive, in the 2100 block, north of Safeway
C3 0
Harper Lake Parking Lot: McCaslin Boulevard and Washington Avenue
11, Gateway Lane: McCaslin Boulevard and South Boulder Road—at east end of cul-de-sac
Recreation Center: 900 West Via Appia— at the south end of the parking lot
Louisville Community Park: Bella Vista Drive entrance near Roosevelt Avenue
These drop-off locations will be available from October 17—November 28.
A map showing the Old Town Vacuum Area and the Drop-Off locations is available on the City's web site at
www.ci.louisville.co.us. Thank you for helping make the program a success! If you have any questions, please call
303.335.4769.
Volunteers are also needed for emptying bags. This is a great community service opportunity. Volunteers are
needed for November 12 and November 19. Please call 303.335.4780 for more information.
NEW COMPREHENSIVE PLAN ADOPTED MULCH GIVEAWAY
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 8
The City Council adopted the 2005 Comprehensive Plan on August $:00 AM - 4:00 PM
16, 2005.
