ARTS AND HUMANITIES COUNCIL PRESENTS <br /> A FAMILY CONCERT WITH JAFRIKA 2001 YOUNG ARTISTS EXHIBIT <br /> A musical-dancing-singing-poetic- Louisville Center for the Arts, 801 Grant Avenue <br /> performance-theater-group! Opening Reception <br /> Jafrika's African Show allows children to Friday, November 30th <br /> explore African culture through dance, 7:00 - 9:00 PM <br /> African songs, and folktales. Join us for refreshments and view over 160 pieces of <br /> After opening with Martin Luther King, Jr.'s students artwork selected by Louisville art teachers. <br /> "I have a Dream" speech, children are Live Music provided by Louisville student musicians: <br /> transported to Africa where they explore 7:20 PM - Louisville String Quartet&Superior Strings <br /> habitats, transform into animals, visit Egypt 7:50 PM - Monarch H.S. Madrigal Singers, <br /> and an African village, singing, and dancing 8:20 PM - Monarch H.S.Swingers <br /> along the way. <br /> 10:30 AM, Saturday, January 19 Parade of Lights Reception <br /> Friday, December 6th <br /> Louisville Center for the Arts <br /> 6:00 - 9:00 PM <br /> 801 Grant Ave. Join us for refreshments before and after the Parade <br /> Admission: $3 per child, $1 per adult of Lights. Live music with Ron Meek. <br /> Children ages 3-12 will enjoy singing and Saturdays & Sundays, <br /> dancing with Jafrika as they act out a December 1, 2, 8, 9, 15, 16 <br /> journey to Africa.
