These are two interior photos identified as being from the Acme Mine. The man in the first <br />photo has been identified as Emanuel Smith, a longtime English -born engineer at the Acme. <br />This photo shows the result of the efforts of the coal miners: a rail car filled with large chunks of <br />coal from the Acme Mine. It is dated 1917. The photographer wrote on the photo, "We are <br />doing our bit for Uncle Sam." <br />9 <br />
