#¨³¸®¥,®´¨²µ¨««¤#¨³¨¹¤­3´±µ¤¸ <br />- ¸wuvw <br />communitythandidresidentsofotherFrontRangecommunities,withtheexceptionofthe <br />availabilityofaffordablequalityhousing(ratedsimilartootherFrontRangecommunities) <br />andshoppingopportunities(ratedbelowotherFrontRangecommunities).Louisville <br />±¤²¨£¤­³² <br />ratingsofshoppingopportunitiesalsoweresimilartothenationalbenchmarkand <br />belowtheFrontRangebenchmarkin2008. <br />CityServicesandDepartments <br />AlmostallresidentsratedtheoverallqualityofCityservicesas¤·¢¤««¤­³or¦®®£City <br />employeesweregivensimilarlyhighratingsfortheircourtesy,knowledge,responsiveness <br />andoverallinteractionwiththepublic. <br />PublicSafety <br />Safetyandlowcrimerateswereratedas¤²²¤­³¨ «orµ¤±¸¨¬¯®±³ ­³aspectsof <br />,®´¨²µ¨««¤ <br />²characterbyalmosteveryresidentandtheCityismeetingthisneed.Residents <br />feltsafeintheirneighborhoodsandthroughoutthecityandgavehighratingstopoliceand <br />911services.Mostthoughttherewassufficientenforcementofparkingregulations,speed <br />limitsandmunicipalcodes. <br />PlanningandBuildingSafety <br />Whileonlyhalforfewerofrespondentsfelttheyknewenoughtoratetheworkthe <br />PlanningandBuildingSafetyDepartmentwasdoing,thosewhoprovidedaratinggavethe <br />departmentgoodevaluations.In2012theseratingsshowedanincreaseoverratingsfrom <br />2004and2008. <br />ParksandRecreation <br />Passiveandactiverecreationopportunities,liketrailsrecreationcentersandparks,were <br />thoughttobe¤²²¤­³¨ «tothecharacterofLouisvilleby71%ofrespondentsandµ¤±¸ <br />¨¬¯®±³ ­³to23%;onlysafetyandlowcrimerateswereratedasmoreimportanttothe <br />characterofLouisville.Likesafety,theseimportantparksandrecreationopportunitiesare <br />beingdelivered.Ratingsofparks,trails,openspaceandmostof,®´¨²µ¨««¤ <br />²Parksand <br />Recreationservicesweremuchabovetheirnationalbenchmarks,whiletheratingforthe <br />CoalCreekGolfCoursewassimilartothenationalcomparison. <br />PublicLibrary <br />Eightin10residentswereinahouseholdwheresomeonehadalibrarycardandusedlibrary <br />services.Amajorityofthesepeopleratedthelibraryfacilityandservicesas¤·¢¤««¤­³and <br />nextmostcommonwas¦®®£(3%thoughttheywere¥ ¨±andnoonesaidtheywere <br />¯®®±)Thelibraryratingsthatcouldbecomparedtobenchmarksallweremuchabovethe <br />averageofotherjurisdictions. <br />PublicWorks <br />ThePublicWorksDepartmentalsoreceivedaglowingreportcardwith8in10ormoreof <br />residentssayingtheiroverallperformance,waterquality,wastewatersystemandstorm <br />drainagewere¤·¢¤««¤­³or¦®®£Streetandsidewalkservicesalsogarneredhigh <br />praise.Allpublicworksservicesthatcouldbecomparedtobenchmarksweremuchabove. <br />{ <br />
