City of Louisville Citizen Survey <br />July 2004 <br />Community Safety <br />General Public Safety <br /> <br />Neighborhood safety, 911 service, visibility of patrol cars, the overall performance of the <br />Louisville Police Department and enforcement of traffic regulations all received average <br />q`shmfrne`antsnfnnconqghfgdqnmsgd0//,point scale. Municipal code enforcement <br />issues received a slightly lower average rashmfne44+vghbgv`rrshkkadsvddmnfnnco`mc <br />ne`hq-o <br /> <br /> <br />Four of the six Public Safety ratings for which national comparisons were available, were <br />rated above national norms. The overall performance of the Louisville Police Department <br />and enforcement of traffic regulation also received ratings higher than Front Range average <br />ratings. <br />Traffic Regulations <br /> <br />When asked to what extent they felt enforcement of general traffic regulations was too strict <br />or too lenient in Louisville, 14% of respondemsrr`hcsgdltmhbho`kbncdhrrtdrvdqdnsnn <br />sntfg-o@rhlhk`qodqbdmsneqdronmcdmsr'02$(r`hcsg`sroddckhlhsrvdqdnsnnsntfgo`mc <br />rdudmodqbdmssgntfgssg`so`qjhmfqdftk`shnmrvdqdnsnnsntfg-o <br /> <br />Safety Ratings <br /> <br />D`bgr`edsxq`shmfv`rbnmrhcdqdcnrnldvg`sor`fe or better. The safety ratings received <br />average ratings higher than national ratings and three received higher ratings than other <br />communities in the Front Range. <br /> <br />Planning and Building <br /> <br />Each aspect of the Planning and Building Department received an average rating that was <br />adsvddmnfnnco`mcne`hq-o <br /> <br /> <br />The overall performance of the Louisville Planning Department received an average rating <br />that was similar to other communities throughout the nation. <br /> <br />Public Works <br /> <br />Each aspect of the Public Works Department qdbdhudc`m`udq`fdq`shmfne`antsnfnnco <br />(67), except for snow removal/street sanding (59) and bike lanes on City streets (57). <br /> <br /> <br />The quality of Louisville water, street sweeping and street maintenance in Louisville <br />received average ratings that were higher than national and Front Range ratings and street <br />th <br />sweeping and street maintenance were in the 100 percentile when compared to Front <br />Range jurisdictions, meaning Louisville was first in these categories. Snow removal/street <br />sanding was rated similar to other communities in the nation and Front Range. <br /> <br />Land Management Department <br /> <br />Each area of Land Management received an average rating of 70 or <br />rb`kdiadssdqsg`mnfnnc-o <br /> <br /> <br />The overall performance of the Louisville Land Management Department received an <br />average rating higher than other communities in the nation. <br /> <br />Report of Results <br />5 <br />
