Pruning Demonstration at Arboretum —on Saturday, October 4 was well attended <br />(est. 50 people) in ideal weather. Chris made general remarks before forming two <br />groups, which observed Chris and Erik using proper tools and techniques to prune <br />two trees. Attendees also had the opportunity for extensive Q & A about specific <br />pruning situations. Suggestion was made to schedule a similar event in 2015; and <br />provide a handout of general pruning guidelines to distribute at event. <br />IX. Arboretum fundraising projects— removed. <br />X. Report on Friends of Arboretum meeting— removed. <br />XI. Country Road Bridge rebuild —see comment by Susan in item V. <br />XII. Coal Creek Golf Course tee marker landscaping— Discussion of possible designs <br />for markers at every tee box and the surrounding landscaping. Suggestion was <br />made to place numbered markers in old- fashioned mining carts (similar to the one <br />at Pine and 96th), and surround with annual bedding plants. <br />XIII. Discussion items for next meeting on Thursday, December 4— Calendar of events <br />for 2015. Report from Friends of the Arboretum meeting. <br />XIV.
