We believe the existing garage and its location on the property is a character defining <br />element of Old Town Louisville and that maintaining this building in this location is <br />appropriate. This location on the property also provides the greatest separation to adjacent <br />properties and thus will not impair their use or development. The proposed setback <br />reduction matches or exceeds the typical setback in the neighborhood. <br />6. That the variance, if granted, is a minimum variance that will afford relief and is the least <br />modification possible of the provisions of this title (Louisville zoning code) which are in question <br />In order for the proposed prep kitchen to be functional it requires counters two sides and <br />prep table in the middle with work space in between. (see attached). This minimum width <br />still allows a for a significant side street setback. The historic garage, its materials are <br />preserved and lot coverage is not increased. <br />
