City Council <br />Meeting Minutes <br />December 16, 2014 <br />Page 3 of 14 <br />• The Grand Opening of Trelleborg Sealing Solutions was held on Friday, <br />December 12th. Trelleborg is a multi - national company locating a portion of their <br />operations in the Colorado Technology Center. They do various sealing <br />operations including seals, bearings for the aerospace, automotive, oil and gas <br />and other industries. They bring 130 employees to the Louisville site. <br />• The former First Baptist Church on South Boulder Road has been demolished. <br />• The City's new Web Site will be up by the end of the week. The public is asked <br />to check out the webpage and report back to staff. Included in the new web site <br />is the 2015 Budget and 300 historical photos and several hundred assessor <br />cards courtesy of the Library and Museum. <br />• A joint meeting is scheduled with the Boulder Valley School Board for February <br />4th at 7:30 a.m. The location will be at one of the Louisville schools. <br />REGULAR BUSINESS <br />2015 CITY COUNCIL APPOINTMENTS TO <br />BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS <br />Mayor Muckle reported the City Council met in special meetings on Monday, December <br />8th and Tuesday, December 9th to interview applicants for 2015 vacancies on City <br />Boards and Commissions. He noted all the applicants were very talented and were <br />selected on their strength for serving on each board and commission. The Mayor and <br />Council made the following 2015 appointments: <br />Board of Adjustment: 3 Three -Year Terms: January 2015 — December 2017: <br />Leslie Ewy and Andy Meseck. Associate: Peter Briggs. <br />Building Code Board of Appeals: 3 Three -Year Terms: January 2015 — December <br />2017: Peter Geise and Matt Berry. Alternate: Two -Year Term: Steve Knapp. <br />Cultural Council: 4 Three -Year Terms: January 2015 — December 2017: Darin Brown, <br />Liz Rowland, Gina Barton and Tammy Pelnik. 1 Two -Year Term: January 2015 — <br />December 2016: Sue Anthony Crowder <br />Golf Course Advisory Board: 2 Three -Year Terms: January 2015 — December 2017: <br />Sandy Stewart and Cory Nickerson. <br />Historic Preservation Commission: 2 Three -Year Terms: January 2015 — December <br />2017: Peter Stewart and Mike Koertje. <br />Historical Commission: 3 Four -Year Terms: January 2015 — December 2018: <br />Gladys Levi -Pilz, Julie VanLaanen and Betty Scarpella. <br />
