Library Board of Trustees <br />Meeting Minutes <br />November 13, 2014 <br />Page 3 of 4 <br />Beth noted that there will also be more of the type of demographic data available that <br />Board member Karlzen has wanted to obtain in connection with board initiatives related <br />to marketing Library services. <br />VIII. Ongoing Business <br />A. 2015 Budget <br />Beth reported that City Council passed the budget resolution on Nov. 3. Beth noted that <br />because of the addition of two part -time staff members for 2015, the salary items have <br />increased somewhat. However, the other items have remained virtually the same as <br />previously reported. <br />Beth reviewed the supporting documentation with the Board. <br />B. Zonta /Community Food Share <br />Alicia is spearheading this project, and she was out of town. This item will be discussed <br />at the January meeting. <br />C. Mobile Libraries <br />Jeannie has been doing some research on what other organizations are doing, as well as <br />what mobile library services are being provided. Jeannie will continue to investigate <br />this initiative, and further discussion will be scheduled for the January meeting. <br />D. Little Libraries <br />Jeannie noted that the sign -up rotation is working well, and the units are holding up to <br />weather. There has been no vandalism. <br />E. `On The Same Page' (OTSP) Results <br />Beth reported that programming for OTSP concluded in October, with capacity crowds <br />at the final two events. For `Stories on Stage', author Melanie Warner was featured in <br />the `talk back' portion of the program. Melanie also appeared at the Louisville Alfalfa's <br />Market for a discussion and book signing. <br />This year's selection, Pandora's Lunchbox, circulated very well. Based on system <br />statistics from June - October, each copy of the book circulated eight times. <br />IX. Director's Report <br />Including but not limited to the following: <br />A. STEM Summit <br />At a recent meeting at the Space Science Institute offices in Boulder, representatives <br />from the Denver Museum of Nature and Science (DMNS), the Denver Zoo, NCAR, UCAR, <br />and CU, as well as small, mountain libraries and large libraries discussed how each <br />organization supports STEM education and how all of the organizations can and do work <br />
