• While much work remains, City staff and the LU Team are pleased with the <br />current condition of Coal Creek Golf Course as we head into late 2014. <br />To provide some perspective on what has been installed on the 159 acre site <br />since spring 2014: <br />• 56.8 miles of decoder cable to 1,987 irrigation heads <br />• 25.2 miles of 2" — 16" High Density Polyethylene Pipe (HDPE) <br />• 1,987 large and small irrigation heads <br />• 126 electric valves <br />• 11.4 miles of communication cable <br />• 600,000 sq. ft. of sod <br />• 10,525 Ibs. of grass seed (300 lbs. greens, 7,300 lbs. fairways and tees, 1,800 <br />lbs. rough and 1,125 lbs. native) <br />• 210,000 lbs. approximate weight of three bridges (6 sections) <br />• 60 Landscapes Unlimited employees working on -site during peak periods and <br />over 30 pieces of operating equipment. <br />• "Golf is the closest game to the game we call life.
