The metal building is located near the back of the property. She believes it
would make a nice building for storage.
Fahey asked if the building has been designated historic.
Trice stated the city has not designated this structure.
Morgan stated the building could also be given away.
Morgan also asked why a discussion of the public hearing signs were not placed on the
agenda.
Trice stated staff is placing this item in the discussions for the Preservation Master Plan.
Watson asked if Morgan has brought this up with the Planning Commission.
Morgan stated she has not. She stated the demo application was what brought it to her
attention.
Stewart stated he wouldn't mind talking about it before the Preservation Master Plan.
Fahey stated she agreed. She also stated she would like to discuss the demolition
application process that came up during the Empire Sign process.
Watson asked staff to bring a sign mock up to the next meeting.
Morgan asked if she should also go to the City Council to discuss the public hearing
signs.
Watson stated she could speak to all the boards she would like to.
PROBABLE CAUSE — 1006 Pine
Trice presented the information in staffs report. She presented the social history of the
structure. She then stated the purpose of the application is to request a building
assessment. She stated the structure is on the National Register and should be
considered for eligibility for local landmarking based on its architectural integrity.
Fahey asked if we approve $6,000 do they get all the amount or is it up to $6,000.
Trice stated it was up to $6,000.
Echohawk believes the National Register listing speaks for itself and the structure has a
very high level of architectural and social integrity.
