INTERESTED IN VOLUNTEERING?
The City has a variety of volunteer opportunities. It's a
great way to help your community and you'll meet a
great group of people. In addition, the
City has hired a new Golf Course Superintendent to
assist with grow -in as the golf course transitions and the
City assumes golf course operations and maintenance.
Additional staff will be phased in as construction and re-
opening nears. The City anticipates awarding a contract
for out - sourcing food and beverage concession services
in December 2014.
For everyone's safety and to ensure that none of the
newly constructed facilities are damaged during recon-
struction and grow -in, all public access to Coal Creek
Golf Course is prohibited.
COUNTY ROAD BRIDGE
We originally anticipated the new bridge would be
in place by summer of 2015. Unfortunately, the process
has been slow due to Federal Highway Administration
and Colorado Department of Transportation required
processes. We lost significant time getting clarification
and support for rebuilding to a 100 -year flood standard
and working through CDOT's expectations for getting
the design consultant on board.
The City, working with the Federal Highway Admin-
stration, is now designing the new County Road Bridge.
The City Council took public input on the design and
aesthetics of the bridge on November 18th. Next steps
include environmental work, final design, and approval
from CDOT. We hope to have the new bridge and road-
way open in spring 2016.
HOLIDAY CLOSURES
CHRISTMAS EVE
WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 24
City Hall & Library Closed
Recreation Center Closes at Noon
NEW YEAR'S EVE,
WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 31
All City Facilities Close at 5 PM
CHRISTMAS DAY
THURSDAY, DECEMBER 25
All City Facilities Closed
NEW YEAR'S DAY,
THURSDAY, JANUARY 1
All City Facilities Closed
Winter 2014
MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR.
