Sculpture — Had not met yet. <br />Master Plan — The presentation was made to the City Council, seemed to <br />go well. <br />Debrief of LCC General Direction — Question is what direction should the <br />LCC go in. <br />Welcome Packet — What should be in welcome packet? Suggestion of <br />welcome letter from President, plus calendars from old year and new year. <br />Also include committee contact list and schedule of meetings for LCC. <br />Reports from Committees: Discussion regarding structure and <br />participation of committees. <br />Discussion regarding budget for events — the usual arrangement is that <br />LCC pays 80% of the gate or $200, whichever amount is greater. <br />Discussion regarding posters and the use of the form so that we have a <br />written record of the event <br />Marketing Committee — Discussion regarding extending the reach of <br />newsletters, use of social media, trifold brochure, targeted advertising. <br />Will work to promote Louisville Artists — discussion about how much <br />advance notice people need to ensure good attendance at events <br />Spoken Word /Literary (Angie's Lit) — Mark and Angie met. The activities <br />to be supported by this committee are anticipated to be Stories on Stage <br />(with Theater group); Young Writer's Workshop (with Library); National <br />Novel Writing (with Library); possible events could be Spellbinders, and <br />other community read /writing events. Suggested possible poetry slam. <br />Sunday Chamber music — Motion to use Mary to assist with Chamber <br />Committee was approved. Financing this activity is left for discussion at a <br />later date. <br />Friday Coffeehouse — Mark — Suggestion to make this a family friendly <br />event where it is not always music. <br />Lecture Committee — Good participation <br />Movies — January 10, Feb 7, March 28, April 18 and Oct 3/10 <br />Master Plan Committee — On the docket to do a Study Session for City <br />Council for an update for this in November. <br />
