Board of Adjustment <br />Meeting Minutes <br />December 17, 2014 <br />Page 3 of 7 <br />. Staff recommends approval of this request. <br />Questions from Board to Staff: <br />Malmquist asked if there were two variances being requested or only one. <br />Robinson stated there is only one variance for the modifications to the non - conforming <br />structure. <br />Applicant Presentation and questions from the Board to the applicant: <br />Carolyn Ford, owner, presented. She loves Old Town and don't want to scrape their <br />house. She is also wishing to create a small prep- kitchen on the second floor of the <br />garage. <br />Malmquist asked if there was going to be a bedroom upstairs as well. <br />Ford stated there will be an office that can be modifyttoo be a bedroom. <br />Fuller asked if the garage could be used as a separate dwelling unit. <br />Robinson stated it could be a guest house, not a separate unit. <br />Public Present in Opposition of Application: <br />None heard. <br />Public Present in Favor of Application: <br />Todd Brady, neighbor at 515 Jefferson, is for keeping the lo the way it is because the <br />current house is set perfectly on the property and does not impact them. <br />Public Hearing Closed / Board Discussion: <br />Meseck asked if there was another property with a second floor above the garage in the <br />immediate area. <br />Ford stated it is west of their p''•pe y. <br />Meseck stated because of that he doesn't think this will be obtrusive. <br />Malmquist made a motion to approve.
