ORDINANCE NO. 1181, SERIES 1995 - AMENDING THE DEFINITION OF 'PERSONAL <br />SERVICE SHOP" IN SECTION 17.08.370 OF THE LOUISVILLE MUNICIPAL CODE TO <br />INCLUDE MASSAGE THERAPY FACILITIES - 2ND READING - PUBLIC HEARING <br />(PUBL. LSVL. TIMES 2/11/95) <br /> <br />Tanoue read by title only Ordinance No. 1181, Series 1995, "An ordinance amending the definition <br />of"Personal Service Shop" in Section 17.08.370 of the Louisville Municipal Code to include massage <br />therapy facilities." <br /> <br />Paul Wood, Planning Director, explained that the purpose of this amendment was to make a <br />distinction between massage therapy and massage parlor regulations, to modify the use group section <br />of the Code to incorporate, under Personal Services, massage therapy as a use-by-right. <br /> <br />Henrietta J. Butler, 724 Jefferson Avenue, Louisville, Colorado, spoke in favor of this amendment <br />as she is a massage therapist in an office in Louisville. <br /> <br />Pat Anderson, 2210 Cliffrose Lane, Louisville, Colorado, a recent graduate of the Boulder School <br />of Massage Therapy, encouraged Council to vote for this amendment. <br /> <br />Davidson called for anyone else wishing to speak on this ordinance. <br /> <br />NONE <br /> <br />Davidson closed the public hearing and called for Council comments or motions. <br /> <br />Howard moved that Council approve Ordinance No. 1181, Series 1995, amending Section 17.08.370 <br />of the Louisville Municipal Code. Seconded by Sisk. Roll call was taken. Motion passed by a 6 - <br />0 vote with Lathrop being absent. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1182, SERIES 1995 - REPEAL MAXIMUM CONCENTRATION FOR <br />ZINC IN SECTION 13.32.129 SPECIFIC POLLUTANT CONCENTRATION OF 0.1345 <br />MG/L - 2ND READING - PUBLIC HEARING (PUBL. LSVL. TIMES 2/11/95) <br /> <br />Tanoue read by title only Ordinance No. 1182, Series 1995, "An ordinance to revise the specific <br />pollutant limitation for zinc as set forth in Section 13.32.120 of the city's Sewer Use Regulations, <br />Chapter 13.32 of the Louisville Municipal Code." <br /> <br />Tom Phare, Public Works Director, stated that this was a revision to the numerical standard for <br />discharge of zinc within the industrial waste that is discharged to the city. It was being allowed per <br />recent re-evaluation by the State and EPA regarding the allowable concentration that the stream can <br />assimilate without damage to aquatic life. <br /> <br />Davidson opened the public hearing calling for anyone wishing to speak on Ordinance No. 1182. <br /> <br />4 <br /> <br /> <br />
