RESOLUTION # :~ C7 SERIES 1972 <br />CITY OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Council of the City of Louisville <br />to adopt certain goals for the City in its development as a city and as a <br />part of the Denver metropolitan area, and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the goals of the Denver Regional <br />Council of Goverwments and desires to adopt them as goals for the City of <br />Louisville, <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the following goals are hereby adopted: <br />1. Ethical managemeint or utilization of the natural resources of the <br />region. <br />2. Attainment of an optimum population size and population distribution <br />for the region. <br />3. A diversified and balanced regional eeor~omy. <br />4. Creation of spatially identifiable communities which contain a <br />variety of human activities. <br />5. An aesthetically pleasing environment for all types of human acti- <br />vities (i.e., living, workin shopping, recreation-leisure or <br />traveling between activities. <br />6. Equitable distribution of government services throughout the region. <br />7. Efficient perforimance of an adequate level of government services. <br />8. Government which is responsive to the needs and seeks out the wishes <br />of all citizens of the Region. <br />9. High quality in a diversity of educational opportunities. <br />10. The highest possible level of environmental health for the citizens <br />of the region. <br />11. Assurance of the safety and mental well-being of all people in the <br />region. <br />12.
