CITY OR LOUISVILLE, COLORADO <br />RESOLUTION 21, Series 1973 <br />A RESOLUTION ENDORSING THE WILDERNESS RESOURCES COALITION COMMITTEE <br />OBJECTIVES TO PROVIDE FOR UTILISATION OF WATER AND OTHER NATURAL <br />RESOURCES COMPATIBLE WITH GOVERNMENTAL PROTECTION IN WILDERNESS- <br />DESIGNATED AREAS IN COLi0RAD0 ON FEDERALLY-OWNED LANDS. <br />WHEREAS, the Wilderness Resources Coalition Committee has been <br />organized by interested and concerned public officials, primarily <br />situated on the Eastern Slope of Colorado, but including representatives <br />of both Eastern and Western Slope geographical locations in the State <br />of Colorado; and <br />WHEREAS, the objects and purposes of said Committee are to educate <br />and inform the Congress of the United States on the desirability <br />not only of establishincl definite boundaries of areas on public lands <br />to be designated as wilderness areas, but in addition thereto, to <br />permit the utilization under the Constitution and laws of the State <br />of Colorado within such designated wilderness areas of water and other <br />natural resources and not to limit the utilization of the same only <br />upon Presidential approval; and <br />WHEREAS, The City Council of the City of Louisville, Colorado, <br />desires to go on record as endorsing this effort on the part of the <br />Committee. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OR THE CITY <br />OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: <br />That the Wilderness Resources Coalition Committee be and the <br />same is hereby endorsed in pursuing the objects and purposes herein <br />above set forth and that: the City of Louisville, Colorado, as a developer <br />and consumer of water and other natural resources which may now or <br />may hereafter in the future have their origins in wilderness-designated <br />areas, supports any effort that can be made to see that these natural <br />resources, and particularly water, can be utilized, pursuant to the <br />
