STATErTFNT OF PRINCIPLES <br />The Coal Creek Basin Water and Sanitation Association <br />consists of the communities of hafayette, L,otzi_svill.e, Erie and <br />Superior, Colorado, and they represent in ad~9it~n to the <br />people of the community the people of the adjoining areas <br />surrounding each of the communities. <br />These towns and cities have joined together to form <br />an association for the mutual benefit of all users of water, <br />its availability, transportation, storage, ownership control, <br />treatment, management, conservation, recreation, pollution <br />prevention and use and reuse of these waters. <br />The Association has organized itself to establish <br />purposes and goals which will achieve the philosophy as above <br />stated. The Association consists of citizens representing <br />land owners, ranchers and farmers, water users, ditch and water <br />owners, developers, water and sanitation organizations and <br />citizens of municipa7_:iti.es. The ,area to be served is part <br />of the Southeast portion of Boulder County, Colorado. <br />The purpose of the Association is to establish a <br />basic legal entity which can carry on activities that wil_1 <br />achieve the goals set forth above and manage the water resources <br />for all, of the areas :involved. The purpose of the association <br />shall be achieved by E=ngaging in the following activities: <br />1. The establishment of a lega]_ly recognized entity <br />which cart ultimately carry out the philosophy of the Association. <br />2. Perform engineering studies for development of <br />short and long range programs. <br />3. Determine ways of financing projects. <br />4. Coordinate planning and development of water <br />supply and, eventually, sanitation services which will be <br />beneficial and economical for all users. <br />5. Provide means for efficient management of water <br />conservation, stora~?e, acquisition, use and treatment. <br />- 1 - <br />
