Has been accurately reconstructed or restored based on historic <br />documentation. <br /> <br />Staff has found probable cause to believe this application complies with the <br />above criterion by the following: <br /> <br />Social Significance - Association with a notable person or the work of a <br />notable person. <br /> This was the home of Frank Rizzi, Louisville mayor during the transition from <br /> coal mining town to modern city. <br /> <br /> Social Significance - Exemplifies cultural, political, economic or social heritage of <br /> the community. <br /> The structure is a part of the historic Little Italy and was lived in by the <br /> Rizzi/DiGiacomo family for nearly 100 years. <br /> <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />The structure has strong social significance due to its association with Frank Rizzi, the <br />Rizzi/DiGiacomo family, and Little Italy. <br /> <br />Staff recommends finding there is probable cause to believe the building may be eligible <br />for landmarking under the criteria in section 15.36.050 of the LMC, making the property <br />eligible for up to $900 for the cost of a historic structure assessment.
